An abundance of snow has lead to a drought of golf.
You really can't play golf in this:
I feel as though I am going a bit loopy, even the cats are avoiding me for fear of being 'accidentally' punted in a lack of golf induced rage fit.
In a moment of optimism I registered for the 'League to Dubai' golf competition (more info HERE). It's a series of matches played in an individual stableford format for which you get points and make it through to regional finals. The top ten individuals after regional finals and a national final receive a trip to Dubai to play on some incredible courses in the final matches over 6 nights in glorious January warmth and sunshine (obviously NOT IN WALES!!!!!).
I'm going to have to get out sooner rather than later, so I might hit up Uncle Tony for a round at Pyle and Kenfig on Monday, weather and time permitting if Coed-y-Mwstwr is still closed.
In the mean time, I'll just have to continue practising 'starting my swing with my hips' in the warmth of the lounge room.
Another devastating blow to my golf sustenance was the removal of our SKY Sports subscription. Today was my first Thursday (regular day off) without sharing TV golf with Adam in 6 months! It felt a little hollow, but we managed to get by with some putting across the lounge floor. For a 13-month old, he's doing pretty well!
Anyway, I really hope the snow gets washed away tomorrow instead of added to. Would be very glad to play golf on Saturday even if it is plugging and saturated.
